Philippe Tempelman
Philippe Tempelman is a Swedish award-winning film director known for his refined visual storytelling and emotionally resonant films. His work is defined by richly built narrative worlds, thoughtful attention to detail, and a distinctive visual language that blends cinematic precision with subtle emotional depth.
A graduate of Beckmans College of Design and the Alma Screenwriting Program, Tempelman began his career as a commercial director in 2008, winning the prestigious Young Director Award at Cannes. Since then, his work has been recognized at major industry platforms including D&AD, Eurobest, New York Festivals, Epica Awards, Guldägget, and Cannes Lions. He has also been honored as Swedish Commercial Director of the Year and received Best Film of the Year at the Roy Awards.
His films often marry location, art direction, and a considered fashion sensibility to create an aesthetic that feels both intentional and immersive. He excels at building narrative worlds from minute details, giving each project a unique texture and tone.
Tempelman’s commercial clients include H&M, Rimowa, Volvo, Toyota, Coca-Cola, Renault, Bulgari, Polestar, and Sveriges Radio. His work has also engaged cultural figures such as LeBron James, M.I.A., and Zlatan Ibrahimović.
